No doubt many of you are getting fed up with virus stories. Most of the ones I have seen have been rather bad-tempered. I did like the story I picked up from a contact in Bologna, however, where the Italian government have introduced strict controls on personal movement.
He tells me that people are allowed out of their homes to go to the shops and buy food. It was announced also that special dispensation would be made for dog-owners, who need to take their pets out to “do their business”.* A supplementary announcement followed shortly afterwards, warning that this only applied to real dogs.
*Fare i bisogni, it seems. I didn’t know that before.
