“Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow.”

This sound advice has governed my day. I know that I promised myself that I would write a letter (in French) in response to a fellow artist with whom I occasionally correspond. It is a noble aspiration and one that eventually I expect to fulfil. However, the woodpile needed reorganising ready for the winter, and that entailed repositioning of the hedgehog’s “hotel”. My excuse for this apparently slack sense of priorities is that the weather was fine today, and I can write letters when it rains. So, that’s settled!

I did complete the design of a leaflet to accompany my November exhibition. I’m not a complete dilettante.
