I’ve encountered several reasons in the past why a gallery might not want to show my work. This one is entirely novel. I was intending to take part in the Derbyshire Open exhibition later this month, but received an e-mail from the gallery in Buxton this afternoon, telling me that the gallery has had to close because it’s falling down, and has had to close with immediate effect. No arguing with that, then.
