Although in my present condition I hardly qualify as a “Merry Gentleman” I have decided that I ought to take seriously the advice of the carol. In fact, I have to confess that I am at the end of my resources. I am very, very tired, and if I don’t rest voluntarily I fear that I might find myself resting under compulsion.
The year has been a busy and indeed at times a strenuous one. It has been fruitful, but none the less hard work. My shoulder injury has not helped in any way, and the gastric problem which laid me low two days ago has finally brought me to as standstill. As from now, I have stopped!
