Quite out of the blue today I have had a sudden burst of energy, purpose and enthusiasm. Before lunch I wrote applications to three potential exhibition venues. Let’s just hope that the recipients receive them in a similar frame of mind.
Then this afternoon I got out into the garden where I demolished a large and very boring laurel tree. It once had the purpose of providing privacy, but now all it does is keep the sunlight out of my neighbour’s garden. My wife thinks that japonica would be a far better use of the space.
I feel sure that I deserved fully the beer with which I rewarded myself before dinner.
