As I prepared a post for today I felt that it sounded familiar. In fact, I had made exactly the same points in my post of 23/12/2015. I think it is worth checking it out.
This is, I suppose, the time of the year at which we feel that the wheel of time is turning once again as it always did. I don’t know whether or not you find that reassuring, but in a period when for various reasons all kinds of things seem to be falling apart I think it is worth holding on to those things which affirm their familiarity.
