This morning I managed to finish my latest piece, which is one of my series on “The Green Man”, and executed in egg tempera. As I cleared up it became obvious that I had rather over-catered for the egg medium, but was anxious not to waste it.
We planned to have scrambled egg for lunch, so (you guessed it) the remains of the medium went into the lunch mixture. It made an excellent scrambled egg, but I was disappointed that it was not possible to taste the gin that had gone into preparing the medium. Perhaps I’ll try more gin next time.
As soon as I can get a decent photograph of it I expect that I’ll be putting this image up in the section of this web-site entitled Picture of the Month. I’m actually fairly pleased with it.
