I’ve just learned that two items I submitted for inclusion in an exhibition were not selected. The Reason? Not that they were inferior, but the entry conditions specified that they had to have mirror plates fixed for hanging! I had overlooked this detail, and as a consequence they were simply not considered. Oh dear! Next time I will make sure to read the small print very carefully.
On the other hand, I confirmed today that I have sold a piece to a purchaser in Belgium who found me through my website. I think that this is a case of “swings and roundabouts”.
