A hard day’s night

I’ve just got back from hanging my exhibition, About Time, at the Manor House Gallery and Museum in Ilkley. It looks respectable (or at least, it will do when I have finished the minor tweaking and labelling tomorrow morning.) Not surprisingly my selection of possible pieces was too ambitious, and I’ve come home with a few surplus items, but I guess that is typical of my over-optimism. Nothing really essential is missing. The job was made a great deal easier by the help of my friend Richard Mort, and I was greatly surprised and pleased by the fact that the gallery sent a professional lighting man late this afternoon with instructions to adjust the lighting to suit my needs. I’ve never had that treatment before!

The opening reception is tomorrow evening, and I’m looking forward to it …. naturally with a little nervousness. You’ll hear all about it. Certainly tonight I’ll be “sleeping like a log.”
