An oasis in the desert of art

Any kind of artistic production is very difficult at the moment, if not impossible. Now that the builders are approaching the completion of the reconstruction of the conservatory my contribution to the project begins. The place has to be decorated and the furniture and the plants moved back in. There is hope on the horizon, however, in the form of our young grandson. We are expecting to collect him from his home on Saturday, and he will be staying with us for a few days. If previous form is any guide to what to expect, almost the first thing he will want to do is something artistic.

Although at the moment I don’t have a clear idea of what we night do together, I am looking forward to his visit very much. I don’t think that I’m seeing a mirage. There really will be an oasis in the current desert. Meanwhile all I get to paint is the walls.
