My “radio silence” over the past week has been a result of a psychotic episode open the part of the computer. I got it back from the engineer this afternoon with the solemn advice that, really, we ought to get a new one. Anyway: here I am. Two things have surprised me about the recent past. The first is the extent to which we have become dependent upon computers. I am a great devotee of email, and I have become quite neurotic when this is no longer simply and directly available.
The good news, however, is that I have been working well. I have completed several pieces over the past three weeks, and I am rather pleased with the quality of what I have achieved. It is about time that I changed the “picture of the month” page on this site, and now that I have access to the computer again I will be able to process all the photographs I took, and perhaps update several of the “galleries” also. Meanwhile, the tidying-up continues this evening, and I hope that I will be restored to a proper conversational mood tomorrow.
