I hope I’ve wasted my time

A good deal of my time after lunch today was passed in repacking pictures and returning them to my racks. Oddly, I hope sincerely that this was a waste of my time.

Over the past few days I have spent quite a bit of time selecting pictures for entry into three open competitions. The job was finished by lunchtime today, and having made all of my applications on-line it has been possible to pack up everything (the numerous items which didn’t make the cut, as well as those I decided ing the end to include) and restore the spare bedroom not its more normal functioning. The reason I say that I hope I’ve been wasting my time is, of course, that I hope that the pictures I identified will all be successful, and chosen for exhibition, and it will be necessary quite soon to get them off the racks again, check that they are mirror-plated ready for hanging, verify that they are labelled correctly, and despatch them to their chosen destinations.
