Things are going well at the moment, after my long layoff. I’m enjoying painting, and the ideas are flowing. Today I finished a pastel piece, took it off the easel, and set it aside in the studio on a table-easel. Then I prepared another sheet of paper for a new picture, and made a good start drawing out the basic elements of the design.
When I stopped for a coffee my attention was drawn to the first picture. It was glaringly obvious that the tone was too heavy in a couple of small areas of the image. I can’t let that rest, and I will just have to get back to it again soon.
You never can tell exactly when a picture is “finished”….that’s just the way it is!
