Tomorrow I intend to fulfil the plan I hatched after my recent visit to Leicester. I will be going back to spend a day in the Bradgate Country Park, sketching the ancient trees there. I was really impressed by these when I saw them …. it is claimed that some of them are up to 800 years old. Whether this is true or not my imagination was really grabbed by them, and I can’t wait to get back there. So, as the weather forecast for the next couple of days is good, I am grabbing the opportunity to make their acquaintance again.
I am sure that it will be a great relief from today’s occupation, namely, trying to update my website. I was looking at the website of a colleague recently and was struck by the fact that it included an area displaying work she had sold. Foolishly, in the past I have simply deleted items from the site which are no longer available to viewers. The idea seemed very simple, that I would no longer devote a space to “picture of the month” and use that in order to display images of sold work. If only life were that simple! I have made a start, but clearly there are some technical tricks I still have to grasp, and I believe that it will be necessary for me to have another session with the wonderful Joe, who advises me on these things. It will have to wait, however, until I am back from Leicestershire. First things first!
