On the run

Today has been one of those days in which, quite perversely, it seems to be my primary objective to escape from art.  The tree root project would benefit from a bit of neglect, so that when I look at it again it comes as a surprise.  There is another idea in the offing, but for some reason or another I’m not quite ready to address it yet.

So after a session of administrative tidying, and a tangle with the subjunctive mood in Italian, we have travelled down to Sheffield for a spot of child care because of a glitch in the regular provision for my small grandson.  It’s been great fun, although I have to admit that getting up off the floor again is not quite as easy as it once was.  There is nothing like a bathtime session followed by story telling to divert your attention from anything else.

I know that I will not be able to run very far, but it’s good while it is happening.
