After driving myself crazy for several days now, trying to update and rationalise my website, I am going to endeavour and restore my sanity tonight. We all be watching The Court Jester on TV. I can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to this.
I remember seeing it with my grandmother when it first came out. Then much later during my working life the choice between the “vessel with the pestle” and the “chalice from the palace” became a stock phrase of my head of department.
It seems to sum up the choices I’ve been confronting, in which I’m convinced that one or another will be disastrous, but I can’t decide which.
