Technological madness!

Over the past two days I have become even more convinced than I always have been of the potential of contemporary technology actually to suffer from insanity. At last I have begun to make serious progress with the preparation of material for the revision of this website. I congratulated myself on having devised a routine and a system that would enable me to navigate this complex task in an orderly way. All of a sudden two vagrant images appeared in the middle of my table, and it was impossible to delete them. My wife, who is a former professional administrator with a post-graduate qualification in secretarial work, was similarly defeated. After wrestling with the problem for half an hour I decided reluctantly that the only response was to delete the whole shebang and start again.

I am mightily relieved to say that after another day on the project all seems to be going well.

I am aware, even so, that the really complex task of organising the visual images, and indexing these so that the web designer can make sense of it all, still lies ahead. I am coming round to the belief that the only thing I can do is pray!
