After more than a week during which I have been refused entry to my own website, suddenly my wife discovered that access has been restored. Experts we have consulted have been profoundly mystified by this arbitrary attempt to write me out of the global script, but as the poet said, “Theirs not to reason why ….” I just accept grace when it is bestowed on me.

This has been a suitable crowning moment for a good day, as I’ve just returned from a day with a group of friends, climbing in the Cleveland Hills. More anon, after I have enjoyed a celebratory single malt whisky and a much-needed dinner.
