Why, that is, do they think that they can drum up trade for their outfit by spamming my blog? Cold calling in this manner is discourteous, and probably illegal. (I have already reported some intruders to the Office of the Information Commissioner.) Don’t they realise that this kind of unprofessional behaviour is going to be counter-productive in that, even had I been on the lookout for the kind of services they offer, their intrusion is going to disqualify them from any consideration?
It is interesting, however, that the spread of technical ability to use the internet seems to have run way ahead of “netiquette”. I hope that it is the case that the more of us who protest against their rudeness and ineptitude, the more these idiots will realise that they have to come into line.
