I’m sorry to have been out of touch for the past few days, but our computer was hacked. It’s back now from the computing equivalent of the lunatic asylum. I will be attending the regular life-drawing class again tonight, and sincerely hope that from now on everything will be back to normal.
I know exactly how the situation came about. My family and friends use facebook to stay in touch. I try to restrict my reading to those messages where I recognise the sender. I have to admit, however, that every now and then I can be tempted to click on something where I cannot resist the temptation to check it out because it looks right up my street. Now I know …. DON’T DO IT! Facebook is absolutely riddled with the pox, and were it not for the need to keep in contact with my network I wouldn’t have anything to do with it.
Particularly irritating has been the fact that I returned from a really good day in the Bradgate Country Park, with several sketches and reference photographs. It has been particularly galling that, having coated a canvas with gesso in preparation for a new picture I have been completely unable to do anything at all towards the realisation of my idea. I hope that my next communication will be from a saner and happier version of me.
