Early tomorrow afternoon I have a meeting with the manager of the museum/gallery which will be exhibiting some of my work in April. I have to present to him the material I want to use in the way of publicity. I have managed to write the text to my satisfaction, but the job of selecting three photographs is running out to be very taxing.
I have made a habit of getting decent photographs of pieces as I do them, so the availability of images is not a problem. The puzzle with which I am afflicted is which three images convey best the kinds of things I want to show about my work, and how this might map onto the choice of images that the public might find striking and attractive.
If this is a relatively brusque post tonight the fault lies entirely with the fact that I really do have to get to grips with making that selection.
